The Smithfield Hotel & Bar is renowned quite literally throughout the UK for the real ale it serves. We acquire our ales from microbreweries chosen from the length and breadth of the UK and Ireland rather than using the larger, more recognised main suppliers of ‘bitter’.

The increasingly regular beer festivals held at the Smithfield Hotel & Bar are legendary! The main event of the year falls in January when there are at least 60 ales to choose from over the course of three days. A huge amount of these fine ales will be brand new to the market; complete one offs or from breweries who are just launching their virgin ale!

The Smithfield Hotel & Bar has to be the best value for money for its city centre location. It’s just a stones throw from the trendy bars in the Northern Quarter, the flamboyant shops such as Harvey Nichols and Selfridges and just a few minutes taxi ride from the city‘s famous football teams’ grounds.

Each of the nine bedrooms at the Smithfield Hotel & Bar are clean, comfortable and modern and with rates starting from just £20 per person per night you’ll find it hard to beat!
